I was facing the same issue and tried a lot and read so many blogs.

Most of the blogs refers to an option that require multiple process to perform. But the solution is way more simple than I have read across the internet.

If you tried to download any attachment from the google mail (Gmail) using the desktop or browser. You might see the error message:

Gmail - downloading this attachment is disabled

Attachment contains a virus or blocked file. Downloading this attachment is disabled

This is because of the security policy of the google to protect YOU form an executable files. these files may contain some exe, php, apk, javascript or other executable files that may harm your system.

Solution for Gmail Attachment contains a virus

If you are sure that the attachment you are trying to download is safe and contains only the think that you intentionally want to download then here is the answer.

The simple answer is mobile APP.

Yes, you read it correct. Without going through the 3rd party application setup or cracks, you can still download the blocked data using the Gmail’s official mobile app.
